| FIXED INTEREST |
| A fixed interest trust is similar to that of an interest in possession settlement, but the beneficial interests in the trust property, i.e. the Trust Fund, is fixed from the trust’s inception. The trust deeds of such trusts usually provide the trustees with discretionary powers over investment and appointment of the trust property throughout the perpetuity period or to a specified date (which may vary for each beneficiary) where upon the proportion of the Trust Fund that is deemed to form the basis of the fixed interest of a particular beneficiary, becomes due and payable to them absolutely. |
